Frequently Asked Questions

What are your meetings like?

Everyone is friendly, kind, and non-judgmental. The facilitator will begin the meeting by introducing any new members to the group and then each person has an opportunity to talk. Sometimes, we decide on a topic, but often a topic will naturally come up in our discussions.

How do I know if I am a “good fit” for a group?

Ultimately, no one knows if they are a good fit until they attend a couple of meetings. Some people share more than others, and each meeting has an ebb and flow.  We accept everyone and treat each other with kindness and respect.

Can I just show up, or is there a process for joining a discussion group?

We have a simple process, which starts with you contacting us via email: [email protected]. We will ask you a few questions and schedule a meeting over coffee with two of our facilitators.  This allows us to get to know each other and determine which group would be a good fit for you.  You are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you to this initial meeting.

What is the level of commitment required of participants?

We ask that you follow our group agreements to ensure a positive experience for you and other participants in the group.
